Do we even have a game thread? My interest peaked with the Super Nintendo, but I figured we could have a catch all for things on the internet, etc. Owl sent me this game and I'm obsessed. Play it! Discuss!

Does playing 600+ levels if Candy Crush count as gaming? That and trying to catch 'em all is all I'm doing at the moment.

I have never been to in to console gaming, but was partial to Nintendo because their games are super easy. I played a lot of Goldeneye (paintball mode FTW!) and Mario Kart on N64 while stoned with friends. Oh, and a LOT of Dr. Mario while stoned by myself. I will challenge any of you. D is always trying to get me to play some turn-based RPG or another, but that's what Pokémon on my DS is for.

I did have a brief stint of playing Quake engine first person shooters on the PC (American McGee's Alice, Wolfenstein, etc.), but I haven't done that in more than a decade and I never miss it. Never got in to any of the MMOs, thank goodness. I can't imagine how extra-addicted to the Internet I'd be if I'd allowed myself to get sucked in to those.

There's a meetup group here for tabletop gamers, which I think sounds fun. D and I used to host our friends for game night on Fridays when we lived in NJ, and I'd like to do that again if we ever meet people who would want to partake. Love Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit.

I play my DS, although more sporadically lately.
R has been teaching me Magic cards which I am loathe to admit can be pretty fun.
He also invented this quasi-military strategy dice game that is difficult to explain. Oh and the PS3 is always on here, right now it's GTA 5.
My favorite board game is Mall Madness, yes I do still have the original one from my 90s childhood!

I do find myself playing casual games too. Aside from Candy Crush, I've downloaded a few others for my phone. I have Bejweled for PC and 3DS. And for some reason, FreeCell has held my attention since Windows 95. D buys me other casual PC games too, but I always return to my few favorites.

The level of jealousy I feel about this cannot be explained.

Also I kind of suck at video games so I don't participate often (A plays all of the shooting and sports games) but I will play anything that lets me race a car, old games like mario bros, spyro, and backyard soccer, and madden football (and I will fake the punt every time).

Seymour, that description makes it sound almost as good as Kitten Cannon.

I can't stop playing it. I've been picking different options to see what happens. I decided to be willfully disobedient, and at the end when it asked if I would leave or stay close, I chose to go and it said "I beg you to stay." I actually felt bad so I played it again and behaved.

I'm a huge fan of board/party games. I'll be sipping my fernet in the corner.

This is my first time hearing of Kitten Cannon so I went and played it...it's addictive! And now i feel guilty because I killed so many pixelated kittens

I like lots of videogames and I like watching my husband play them too. I also like card and board games like Uno, Monopoly, Mall Madness, and Dream Phone. The last two I stole from my sister who won't play them anymore anyway because they were left at our mom's. There are plenty of other ones that I just can't think of at the moment.

The only game I really play is Skyrim. I can go months without playing it and then a mood strikes me and I play everyday for a month (not all day, but I did end up playing for 6 hours once while J was at work).

It's really hard to get me into games, but J convinced me to try skyrim and I got a little hooked.

I used to really be into The Sims 3 but I haven't played in a while. I'll probably pick it back up again when The Sims 4 comes out though, it looks really good.

At the moment the only game I play regularly is GTA 5 which I stole from my husband.

Whoo...where to begin? The dude and I are gamers...like the old school, pen and paper, you sit in a group pretending to be elves and shit while another dude tells you a story sort of games. You know, the ones in the 80s that thought it lead to satan worship and sacrifices? We have a regular group that meets to not only play D&D but we also play board games and most recently we've gotten into Cards Against Humanity. My Jeff Goldblum, I love that card game...it brings out the most terrible and awesome stuff ever!

I am also sort of hooked on a game called Guild Wars 2...I love a pretty MMO and its got my attention for now. Though, I swear I have internet ADD and tend to try to find new, shiny games to waste my time with.

Earthbound  though I haven't played it in a while :/. Another game I'd love to play is Chameleon Twist. I suck at grand theft auto and the newer games though I never really give them a chance. For my phone I just like Dumb ways to die cause it's cute.

Oh man. This is my jam.

Nintendo: almost all of the Mario games
Super NES: Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Addams Family
    PS2: Mercenaries
PS3: Lego Star Wars, Jeff Goldblum of War, Resistance, Lego Indiana Jones, etc.
PC: WoW (though I've been unsubbed for a couple of years), Star Wars: Battlefront, Elder Scrolls (currently playing Skyrim), maybe Elder Scrolls Online eventually when it goes free to play. I love RPGs mainly.

Other: Magic, D&D, Fluxx, Munchkin, Trivial Pursuit (especially specific ones), etc.

D's best friend is really in to vintage gaming. Like, he's purchased lots on eBay of like 50 old consoles. He keeps sending us all kinds of weird gaming consoles and cartridges from the 80s and 90s. I just asked him to send me Disney's Adventures in the Magic Kingdom for NES, even though I know it sucks.

We have an SNES with about 40 games, including the Game Genie and Mario Paint (which I loooove.)

My favorite old school game on that console is Bomberman. So much addiction to that game.

S and I play ESO and it's really great. The crafting system is fantastic! It put Skyrim's to shame... which I loved that game as well. I usually don't care for MMOs that have a monthly fee, but this one is definitely worth it. Also, Jeff Goldblum of War is the shit. When a new one comes out my next 2-3 days are off the calendar because they don't exist. Nothing exists but Kratos and I bringing vengeance upon all we encounter.

I have a Wii and a few games. P is not as into it as I am, so we don't play often since playing Wii by yourself is not really fun. I also have a DS that was an extension of my hands for almost a year but now sits sadly forgotten on my nightstand. P has an original NES console plus Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunting, but we haven't gotten the adapters for the tv. I also want a Super Nintendo again one day.

Computer games are mostly what I play these days. I love the SimCity games but never got into the Sims. I love checking out the puzzle and word games on Yahoo or Google plus the silly time management games like the Delicious series.

My sister and I were totally gamer nerds as kids. Our favorites were Mario Kart and Bomberman on SNES. I used to love Starfox too, back when this was considered to be state of the art 3D graphics....

We had Gameboys too, I don't remember much besides Tetris and Pokemon.

We got an N64 next, and played more Mario Kart, Pokemon, Pokemon Snap, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong, James Bond, and my sister was obsessed with Zelda. We still whip out the N64 sometimes and play a few rounds of Mario Kart.

I got tired of console games and started playing mobile games like Angry Birds and Bejeweled. I also love flash games where you make food like cakes and burgers, and physics-based games like Taberino. I recently tried a puzzle game for PC called Machinarium and I loved it. The artwork is amazing. I'm really excited for this other PC game called Gorogoa to be completed: http://gorogoa.com/ You can download a demo, and it's just beautiful.

Oddly I don't play any of the games that my company develops.
